I totally LOVE this stovetop coffee maker !!!
The old aluminium ones…….YUK !!
The thread always gets gammy and stiff, people screw them up too tight, then it’s the ol snap the plastic handle off trying to get it back undone after it’s been heated…..
And what about the white ferrous reaction in the water chamber after it wasn’t used whilst away on holidays……… Toxic !
You can feel the quality with these as soon as you pick it up, the weight of that quality stainless steel. Just the weight in the bottom water chamber far superior to others….
That thickness and weight also helps keep the coffee hotter in the top chamber when returning for that last half a cup, first thing in the morning, love it
The twisting handle fastening technique is ALWAYS a crowd pleaser with first encounter but doing away with the thread / screw technique used by all other similar stovetops, is a game changer….
Can never over tighten ( so never a broken handle )
ALWAYS click releases with ease , without having to screw your wrist off !
I think I must of had mine for over 10 years now and it’s pretty much used several times every day! ( I’ll attach a photo )
I’ve replaced the rubber ring a few times and that has only been due to the times when my mind has wandered and boiled dry, almost turned blue/black ( you’ll see in my photo )
But a bit of a scub and new rubber, works as good as new !!!
I’m a bloke , I live in a van, I have no interest in keeping it polished and pristine……
I actually rarely clean the top coffee chamber as prefer to leave the coffee remnants and delicious oils there as to not rob them from my next cup!!
The easily flip over insert, turning the coffee granule chamber from a one shot to two, is well handy when multiple cups are required or expresso shots are in order……
I would have easily purchased another half dozen of these as gifts for friends that were overly impressed when using mine!
I’m actually here on the website to purchase another for a friend who has gone above and beyond, so a QUALITY gift is needed to measure my gratitude and love…….
So discovering this feedback option here ( which I would generally not bother with ) I thought this is definitely one product/ tool I use daily in my life, I would be more than happy too!
Get one
You will not regret it !!
My only foreseen problem is…….
Deciding “Who I’m going to leave it too , in my will :0)
Cheers
